Chambolle Musigny Amoureuses, Domaine Francois Bertheau 2009

Tasting Notes

(with thanks to Joe Wong and Bonnie Wai). A ripe, maturing and elegantly spicy mix consists of red and blue pinot fruit cut with subtle floral wisps. There is ample minerality to the understated, suave and silky-textured middle weight flavors that possess excellent intensity on the sappy and lingering finish where the only nit is a touch of warmth. This is a velvety wine of harmony and grace that could easily be approached now or held for another 2 to perhaps 5 years. Lovely.
