Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde, Domaine René Rostaing 2010

Tasting Notes

The 2010 Cote Rotie Cote Blonde comes close to perfection. Again, 2-4% co-fermented Viognier is blended with Syrah, and the bouquet offers up beautiful aromas of spring flowers, sweet forest floor, black raspberries, white peaches and kirsch. Seductive and full-bodied with velvety tannin, an endlessly constructed texture and huge length, this prodigious Cote Rotie should age effortlessly for 15-20 years.

A wine of great intensity, the 2010 Cote Rotie Cote Blonde exhibits abundant notes of flowers, raspberry liqueur, kirsch, cedar and forest floor, silky tannins and a long finish. It should drink well for 10-15 years, as the silkiness of this wine is incredibly appealing.
