Grands Echézeaux, Domaine Lamarche 2006

A more refined and more elegant nose of red pinot, blue berry and intense floral notes, particularly violets, introduces rich, pure and sleekly muscled full-bodied flavors that are perhaps a bit more generous and accessible than usual while culminating in an impeccably balanced, serious and gorgeously long finish. This is a classic Grands Ech as the inherent robustness of the structure is hidden by the class and breed of the nose and flavors. I quite like this.
