An exceptionally subtle trace of wood frames elegant, pure, complex, layered and altogether classy deep red berry fruit aromas that reluctantly give up notes of spice and underbrush as well that can also be found on the rich, intense, sleekly muscled and equally pure full-bodied flavors that remain beautifully delineated and focused on the sappy, intense and wonderfully long finish. A refined Rugiens that will age impeccably well on its dense mid-palate and overall balance. In sum, a really lovely effort that has all it needs for the medium to perhaps long haul.
