Stéphane Derenoncourt’s biodynamic home farm wine is very bright purple. Slightly raw, green notes on the nose and then exceptionally dry tannins - much drier than most Derenoncourt wines. Pretty severe at the moment with rasping tannins.
Bright ruby-red. Brooding aromas of black fruits, minerals and pepper. Dense, sweet and generous, with deep, chewy black fruit flavors lifted by a mineral element. Boasts a firm spine of acidity without any hardness. At once sweet and savory, finishing with suave but firm tannins and sneaky length.
