Riper and ever-so-vaguely exotic notes include those of white peach, cool floral, pear and citrus on the nicely spicy nose that are trimmed in moderate wood. Unusually, there is a hint of quinine on the beautifully delineated and stony medium weight flavors that culminate in a citrusy, clean, markedly dry and mildly austere finale. This beautifully delineated effort is clearly built-to-age and is going to need at least 4 to 6 years of patience first. (Drink starting 2029)
The 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Caillerets reveals aromas of pear, crisp green apple, white flowers and youthful reduction, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered palate that's deep, incisive and chalky.
