The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Baudines 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet, more floral than its peers, with yellow flowers infusing the citrus fruit and just a very subtle brûlée tincture in the background. The palate is well balanced with a sapid entry, fine depth and tangy orange rind notes mixed with crushed stone, strict yet demonstrating fine depth on the delicate finish. This needs time, but there is potential. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
