The 2018 Barolo Briccolina is quite delicate in this vintage. Floral accents, tobacco and cedar play off a core of red-toned fruit. There is good depth, for the year. Even so, my impression is that the 2018 is a Barolo to enjoy over the medium term. (Drink between 2023-2035)
Serralunga d'Alba. Lustrous ruby. Full cherry nose with top notes of spice and oatmeal. Lush cherry fruit with the right dose of acidity and finely ground tannins. Generous but well balanced and packed with juicy fruit and delicious chewy tannins (WS)
