A modern and really polished Rioja, showing depth and refinement. The creamy oak gently knocks at the door, behind which is a wealth of spiced berries, currants and red cherries with a touch of graphite. Hedonistic in nature, but also quite elegant and poised, with filigree tannins and a long, fragrant finish that goes on for almost a minute. Drink or hold.
