The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has an attractive nose: touches of rose petal infusing the red cherry fruit, commendable transparency here with the aromatics opening nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with moderate weight, more cohesion than the Savigny with more fruit and weight towards the finish. It has an easy-drinking disposition, but I appreciate the cohesion and harmony in this village cru.
More promising scent than their Savigny-Lès-Beaune, and better fruit definition. Very light and unassuming but with fully formed fruit character and attractive perfume on the finish.
