Arbois Pupillin Ploussard Cote de Feule, Cellier Saint Benoit 2023

Tasting Notes

The super perfumed and floral 2023 Ploussard Côte de Feule that I loved from barrel shows even better from bottle. This comes from the most famous lieu-dit in Pupillin, a south-facing steep slope (40% in some places) on irised marl soils from Lias, where in 2023 he got a very good crop (60 hectoliters per hectare/6,000 liters per hectare). It comes in at 11.5% alcohol, delicate and elegant, flattering, with nice balance and a very savory mouthfeel and an almost salty finish. 3,534 bottles were filled in August 2024. 2025 - 2033
