This is also aromatically restrained but impressively layered with its array of plum, exotic Asian-style tea, crushed anise and floral scents. There is good size, weight and power to the bigger-bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the beautifully persistent finale where the only reproach is a subtle touch of warmth. This is clearly built to repay extended keeping but much like the Clos de Vougeot, it's not so imposing as to not be approachable after 7 to 8 years of aging. Drink starting 2035.
