Once again this Barbera from Rizzi is an absolute joy to drink. Bright ruby-purple in the glass, the nose is fragrant with cherries, raspberries and subtle tones of baked pastries and pressed flowers. The palate matches slick, ripe tannins with juicy, vibrant fruit, giving a seamless, succulent texture and delicious flavour profile that is hard to spit. The acidity is bright but fully integrated into the fruit, giving it lift and floral overtones. Glossy, harmonious and pure in blue and red fruit on a very moreish finish. Excellent. This is outstanding value for money. Drink now or over the coming 5+ years.
