Mineral-driven aromas of flint, green apples, lemon peel, crushed river stones and lime blossoms. The palate is light- to medium-bodied with a laserlike acidity and underlying power, giving notes of pears, orange peel and tangerines. High-energy and craftily constructed with layers of flavor and mineral tension. Excellent. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
The Block 2 Chardonnay has a flinty nose with layers of ripe lemons and poached pears. The fruit is soft and propped up by bready, leesy tones on the palate, making for a generous, open-knit style. This juicy, forward nature should not be underestimated - it should drink well for 8+ years with its long, citrus and stone fruit led finish.
