Tasting Notes

Pale lemon colour. I love the bouquet here, very refined, very Corton-Charlemagne, not at all over ripe, excellent intensity through the middle of the palate, steely with some lime blossom notes. textbook example! 13.4% alcohol.

Once again there is enough wood to mention but not to mask the aromas of Granny Smith apples, white orchard fruit, floral and just sliced fennel. Much like the Chevalier, the broad-shouldered flavors possess borderline painful intensity as well as plenty of minerality on the detailed, focused and powerful finale. This is presently very tightly wound and a wine that should easily repay 10+ years of cellaring though ample patience will be required. 2030+
