The oak is quite upfront for now, but there's an intense salinity and freshness underneath. Long, straight, focussed, mineral expression. Long finish, good sense of direction. Has the depth of fruit you'd want from Condrieu, and the minerality that's so important in this vintage for freshness. Very full-bodied, broad and plenty of puppy fat. Grown on biotite granite, fermented then matured for 18 months in barriques with natural yeasts.
