The 2019 Pommard Clos des Arvelets 1er Cru has a gentle nose, open-knit red berry fruit, fine definition, perhaps the nascent ‘20 endowed with more fruit concentration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, fresh and vibrant with a lovely piquancy towards the elegant finish. This is certainly fulfilling its potential in bottle and comes recommended.
