Tasting Notes

Candied citrus and pineapple drizzled with acacia honey is how this smells and tastes, and the wine is rich and creamy with excellent concentration. Powerful and flavorful finish. Drink or hold.

Really quite subtle nose. Big and bold - much richer and sweeter than most 2014s. Lots of different wild-flower aromas in here - interesting. Relatively heavy. But then there is lots of acidity on the end. Reverberant.

On the flamboyant side, with mango and guava flavors out front, followed by hints of creamed pear and fig. The lush finish is coated with almond cream and toasted coconut notes. Best from 2020 through 2035. 3,417 cases made.

James Molesworth, WineSpectator.com, February 2017

Close to the top of the sweet wine pyramid in 2014, this is a delicious Suduiraut. Waxy, spicy and richly oaked, it’s honeyed, concentrated and flavoursome with botryris richness underpinned by grapefruit and lemon zest flavours and a hint of smoky reduction.

Tim Atkin MW, timatkin.com, April 2015

Best since 2005? It has a unique style of botrytis intensity yet fresh, agile and bright. It's full-bodied, delicate and refined. The palate is full of figs, spices, dried mushrooms and earth. It lasts for minutes. It makes you want to drink it now!
