The 2022 Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru has a mineral-driven bouquet, more complex than the Charmes, offering tightly wound black fruit with attractive black pepper, minerally scents, and a hint of iris flower. The palate is medium-bodied, very taut and linear, with fine-boned tannins, focused with dark fruit towards the finish. This will probably land at the top of my banded score once in bottle. (Drink between 2026-2050)
