There is a background touch of post-bottling reduction that doesn't entirely mask the red berry aromas though it does blur the nuances. More interesting are the markedly more concentrated medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a tension-filled finish that isn't exactly lean though it would be fair to observe that neither is it seductive. As the description suggests, this is somewhat awkward and I suspect that the recent bottling has had more of an effect here than with the other wines - as such my rating offers the benefit of the doubt.
