The triassic sandstone rocks of Centgrafenberg bring forth this tender wine. A faint, flinty whiff of reduction accompanies the floral perfume, leading to a palate which encapsulates utterly pure red fruits resting at the very core of this elegant, understated wine. With 85% whole-bunch ferment, the flavours are tart, vivid and fresh, reminiscent of cranberry and Morello cherry. The elegant structure is like a veil of silk, tender but exceptionally durable. Sebastian Fürst gets better year after year – and remains unsurpassed.
RS 1 g/l.
Lightish ruby. Wild red fruits, but definitely not strawberry, spicy and elegant intensity with a touch of whole-bunch stemminess adding herbal fragrance. Tight and a little stemmy on the palate giving great elegance. (JH)
