I was also able to taste a bottle of the 2011 Cornas Sans Soufre, which is the same as the Reynard release, yet made with no added sulfites. It’s certainly drinking brilliantly today, with an expressive, complex, classic style in its gamey red and black fruits, saddle leather, flowers, bacon fat, and spice-driven aromas and flavors. Full-bodied on the palate, it has a round, seamless mouthfeel, integrated tannins, and a great finish. It's drinking brilliantly today yet will certainly evolve for another 10-15 years if stored properly. Note, these Sans Soufre wines generally evolve at a faster rate than the classic releases, so provenance is critical. Drink between 2022-2037
