Charmes Chambertin, Domaine Dugat-Py 2009

Tasting Notes

**Note: a blend of one-third Mazoyères and two-thirds Charmes proper - the fruit comes from a mix of mostly 20+ year, and a small percentage of extremely old, vines; 50% stems**
This is also quite ripe with notes of mocha, menthol, plum, earth and natural spices that give way to incredibly rich, powerful and palate staining broad-shouldered flavors that possess dry extract to burn before culminating in a monumental, even explosive finish. As is the case with the 2010 version, this is a wonderful marriage of power and finesse.
