John Gilman, View From the Cellar, March 2019

A very pleasant, medium-bodied, fleshy Pomerol. A fully mature nose of smoke, roasted vegetables, dried herbs, sweet currants, and caramel, with medium to full body on the attack, but some drying (even desiccating) tannins in the finish take for a very good but somewhat uninspiring effort from Latour a Pomerol. Anticipated maturity: now-2012. Last tasted, 1/02.
