Tasting Notes

Savory and smooth as silk, the stunning 2020 La Pieve opens with alluring aromas of violet, perfumed berry, forest floor, camphor and dark spice. Delicious and elegantly structured, the vibrant palate features juicy Marasca cherry, crushed raspberry, baking spice and star anise before closing on a savory note recalling grilled rosemary. Tightly knit, velvety tannins provide seamless support. Drink 2029–2038.
