The 2020 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru had been blended and fined when I visited in November. Lovely wild peach and orange pith scents on the nose here, touches of grapefruit, perhaps just short of a little mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tension on the entry, crisp acidity and endowed with a very subtle reduction that works in its favour. Nice saline aftertaste. (Drink between 2024-2036)
Full mid lemon yellow. The nose is notably richer here, almost egg custard, ripe fruit, fleshy and joyous, a citrus thread keeping the balance and the typicity. Excellent finish. This is not the roasted stone type of hot vintage En Remilly.
