Medium depth ruby, bright with purple reflections; the bouquet a mix of red cherry, smoky savoury notes, root vegetables and vanilla. Stalky nuances are there but tucked more in the background. The wine is rich and full in the mouth with generosity and ample, mouth-coating tannins which are fine, ripe and supple. A slighty less-varietal pinot but a wine of real substance.
