The seemingly ripe fruit is completely overshadowed by the oak treatment that also displays plenty of menthol character. By contrast there is excellent richness, size, weight and muscularity to the medium-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract that imparts a seductive mouth feel to the long, balanced and complex finale. This is a big Boudots that should amply reward mid to longer-term cellaring.
