Quite a pale tawny colour for Maury, with a delicately red fruited nose offset by rich notes of woodsmoke, dried cherry, leather and roasted nuts. This follows on the palate, which is nutty and fine, with layered savoury depth and a lightly pithy structure to offset the sweetness. Long and saline with a lipsmacking, moreish finish.
