A restrained and appealingly layered nose blends notes of smoke, anise, spice, earth and red and dark cherry along with lovely floral hints. There is equally good layering to the more mineral-driven, intense and beautifully well-detailed flavors that are tautly muscular before culminating in a strikingly persistent finale. This is classy but relatively tightly wound so at least moderate patience recommended. 2027+
