Initially this showed very little but with several hours of air the nose expands to reveal plenty of Gevrey earth and a nicely complex set of aromas that have just now begun to turn toward the secondary. The round| supple and forward middle weight flavors are delicious and even more complex with a velvety texture and excellent length| all wrapped in a balanced and still moderately tannic finish. This is really quite impressive and while it could easily be enjoyed now| I would hold it for a few more years first but if you're tempted| be sure to decant it for at least an hour because it's deceptive at first glance.
