Wonderful aromas of crushed raspberry, Indian spices and flowers follow through to a full body, with silky tannins and a long, long finish. The second wine of Pichon-Longueville-Baron.
Quite a modern, finely crafted style. Soft and elegant with a touch of cedar evident behind the deliciously ripe plum and dark cherry nose. A fine fragrance that is more St Julien than Pauillac in style. Deep fruit flavours, chewy but well balanced tannins and a powerful long finish suggest a lot of promise in this top rate 2nd wine.
