A blend of Sélèque's favorite barrel from each of his parcels every year, intended to reflect the vintage conditions across the ensemble of his holdings, the 2016 Extra-Brut Partition unwinds in the glass with complex aromas of citrus pith, white flowers, pear and blanched almonds. Medium to full-bodied, deep and chalky, with racy acids and a fine-boned, classically proportioned profile, it concludes with a long, saline finish. It's a terrific wine that I suspect will only go from strength to strength with bottle age.
