**Vosne Malconsorts 'Christianne'**
As is often the case this is aromatically similar to the regular cuvée save for being slightly more floral in character. There is more volume and power to the full-bodied, rich and robust flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the more complex, well-balanced and wonderfully long finale. This is also more obviously structured and it seems quite clear that 18 to 20 years will be necessary for this to arrive at its full majority. In a word, terrific. 93-95
**Pommard Rugiens, 'Hubert'**
Prominent wood and menthol fights somewhat with the otherwise fresh, spicy and earthy aromas that are primarily composed by black cherry and plum. There is terrific detail, power and minerality to the broad-shouldered by refined flavors that culminate in an overtly austere, backward and built-to-age finish. The density is such that this should have little trouble integrating the wood treatment with bottle age. 92-95
