A trace of wood spice frames a blast of black fruit that leads to curiously understated, almost subtle, moderately structured flavors that display somewhat higher acidity than any of the prior wines. Tighter and denser than the Reignots and there is just more wine here and this finishes with the same sneaky persistence. Lovely effort.
