Nuits St Georges Les Chaignots, Domaine Robert Chevillon 2020

A vague touch of wood is present on the ripe and exuberantly fresh aromas of poached plum, dark currant and anise. The sleeker and more mineral-driven medium weight flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension, all wrapped in a compact, firm and built-to-age finale. This is also excellent and stylistically, it is a mix of Nuits and Vosne. Note: from a 1.5 ha parcel that blends 40+ and 60+ year old vines

Wafting from the glass with notions of cassis, dark chocolate, plums, spices and peonies, the 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots is medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with a rich core of concentrated fruit, lively acids and a penetrating finish.
