A broad array of spice elements adds to the appeal of the wonderfully fresh wild cherry and red currant, earth and subtle sauvage nuances. The sleek, intense and caressing broad-shouldered flavors possess both good volume and muscle on the powerful, focused and moderately austere finale. This is very impressive though note that it's going to need at least a decade to resolve its firm tannins. Excellent.
A quarter has been aged in new wood and 50- 60% pedicel vinification. Full purple with a rich heady nose from the clay-based soil. Solid, earthy fruit with grand cru weight but not the most finesse. Continues well across the palate. This needs more time before revealing itself fully. Drink from 2028-2038. Tasted: November 2022.
