Clos de la Roche, Pascale Marchand / Marchand-Tawse 2018

Tasting Notes

The 2018 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a very intense bouquet of copious red cherries, kirsch, orange blossom and blueberry fruit, quite floral in style although perhaps not quite delivering the breeding of the Clos Saint-Denis. The palate is succulent and rounded, the 50% new oak nicely integrated, and shows very good definition and persistency on the finish. There is a lovely crescendo here. Impressive. 2023-2046
