Tasting Notes

**Note: from a .06 ha parcel in Les Treux**
Generous wood combines with strong reductive notes to make for a difficult nose. By contrast there is good freshness, vibrancy and muscle to the delicious, intense and broad-shouldered flavors that possess a velvety mid-palate before culminating in a firmly structured, mouth coating and beautifully long finish where the wood resurfaces. This expressly built-to-age Ech is most impressive though I note that it's likely to always have a bit of an oak component.

Rich purple colour and quite luxurious fruit, not particularly typical of the appellation. Spicy minerals, good intensity, depth, concentration but not especially joyous at this stage.
