Les Ormes de Pez is a popular Chateau in Saint Estèphe that has been owned by the Cazes family (of Lynch Bages) since 1940. Famed for producing consitently good red wines at modest prices. The Chateau now produces small quantities of a white wine - first vintage 2025. It will be labelled as "Médoc Blanc" which is a new appellation created for the white wines of Bordeaux's left bank.
The 2025 Ormes de Pez Blanc is made from 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Semillon, 11% Muscadelle and 5% Sauvignon Gris. It was aged in 50% new oak for a few months before bottling in the Spring of 2026. It should be available for delivery in the Autumn of 2026. Alcohol 13.4%. AC Médoc Blanc.

The maiden 2025 Ormes de Pez Blanc comes from vines planted three years ago, on four hectares of cooler soils, representing just 3,000 bottles this year (it will increase to around 20,000 in the future). Matured in used oak, tank and amphora, this has an attractive bouquet with white peach, Anjou pear and light white flower scents. The palate is well balanced, with a fine bead of acidity, more texture than the Blanc de Lynch Bages and a dab of stem ginger on the finish. Drink 2026-2033.
A new wine in 2025, Ormes de Pez Blanc is a lovely, fresh, vibrant wine that you can enjoy now. Bright silver-lemon in the glass, it is fruit-forward and cool, with stoney citrus and orchard fruit leading the nose. Zesty bright and breezy on the palate, you can drink this with or without food. A tangy, crunchy and appetising wine, it's a perfect summer option and has light toasted, leesy and spicy notes that add that intrigue and complexity to keep you engaged throughout.
The inaugural release of this new white cuvée from the emerging Médoc Blanc appellation, the 2025 Ormes de Pez Blanc reveals a classic bouquet of herbs, spring flowers and boxwood. Medium- to full-bodied, juicy and supple, it’s built around a core of fruit with good depth, animated by fresh, lively acidity through the mid-palate and concluding with a long, mouthwatering finish. Bottled the day before tasting, with just 3,000 bottles produced, it's a classic white wine from Bordeaux.
A new white with sliced apples, pears and minerals, with hints of mangoes on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied with a lovely texture and flavorful finish. Bright and vivid. Zesty. Aged six months in barrels and Tava amphora. Real Atlantic character, meaning a salty undertone. A blend of 55% sauvignon blanc and 45% semillon. Drink now.
The 2025 Ormes de Pez Blanc is a new wine in the range. Ripe pear, lemon confit, white pepper, slate, mint and white pepper lend notable brilliance throughout. Drink this airy, aperitif-styled white over the next few years. This is a terrific debut. 2027 - 2035
