Fresh pale primrose colour. There is an attractive fruit energy here, with a light veneer of creamy oak. This wine is quite muscular, reflecting the clay in the soil, then oaky through the middle, but finally delivers a stony tension at the finish, which is agreeably persistent. Of course the sunshine is there but it does not dominate.
