Once again there is a distinctly cool quality to the restrained and ultra-fresh and pure aromas of red currant, raspberry, earth and whiffs of mocha, truffle and the sauvage. The rich yet beautifully chiseled middle weight flavors possess superb focus along with an abundance of minerality that becomes increasingly apparent on the complex, refined and strikingly persistent finish where a hint of warmth arises. This is both classy and harmonious and like all of the Roumier '16s, a wine that should age well.
