Classic Vosne spice notes trimmed in a discreet application of wood add plenty of breadth and depth to the pure cassis, black cherry and warm earth aromas. The exceptionally rich, velvety and generous medium-bodied flavors culminate in a supple, mouth coating and gorgeously long finish. There is excellent ripeness to the supporting structural elements and about the only nit is a subtle touch of backend warmth but otherwise this is absolutely first-rate.
