Here the very ripe nose is spicier still with lovely freshness suffusing the aromas of sandalwood, black raspberry and hoisin. The supple, delicious, round and relatively forward middle weight flavors tighten up on the warm, robust and somewhat awkward finish. This may well come together in time but at present the spiky tannins render the overall sense of harmony somewhat suspect.
