Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé, Moët & Chandon 2015

Tasting Notes

The 2015 Extra-Brut Rosé Grand Vintage is one of the best Champagnes I have tasted from Moët & Chandon in some time. Rich and vinous in the glass, with terrific persistence, the 2015 exudes class from start to finish. All the elements are so well balanced. Hints of crushed raspberry, rose petal and blood orange lend a beguiling air of exoticism. The Rosé is at once deep and yet also light on its feet. I loved it.

A deep pink, almost magenta color, the 2015 Champagne Grand Vintage Extra Brut Rosé is predominantly Pinot Noir, with 27% Chardonnay and 21% Meunier. Forward with spiced aromas of fresh fennel, blood orange, graham cracker, and cranberry preserve, the palate is ripe, with an elegant mousse that enhances its spice and structure, as well as a delicate, chalky textured finish that has the bones to stand up to more time in bottle nicely. Drink 2023-2030. Disgorged February 2022.
