Mingling notes of cassis, cherries and berries with hints of rose petals, raw coca and spices, the 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village is medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, with fine concentration, lively acids and rich, powdery tannins. Long and sapid, this cuvée is a perennial favorite of mine. As in 2018, it's a blend of lieux-dits Les Chalendins, Le Pré de la Folie, Les Champs Gourdin and Les Croix Blanches.
