Tasting Notes

An unusually high-toned nose of red berry fruit, earth and an intriguing mix of spice elements that include clove, anise plus a note of hoisin complements well the rich, full-bodied and velvety flavors that also have an inherent exoticism, all wrapped in a mouth coating, pure and focused finish that delivers both excellent length as well as a seductive mouth feel. I particularly like the underlying sense of tension. 2023+

Moderately saturated medium red. Slightly reduced, wild aromas of strawberry and tobacco. Sweet and lush on the palate, with attractive lift and floral perfume to the wild berry and cherry flavors. Can't match the Malconsorts for thickness or sheer intensity, but this builds subtly in sweetness and finishes lush and long, with lovely lift.
