Philipponnat Clos des Goisses Juste Rosé 2014

The 2014 Extra-Brut Clos des Goisses Juste Rosé is another super-promising wine from Philipponnat. In fact, it may turn out to be even better than the Blanc. The decision to blend in 29% saignée Pinot (the highest ever here) and skip the addition of still red wine has paid off big time. In this tasting, the 2014 Juste Rosé shows notable depth and textural resonance. It is more complex and layered than the Blanc, with plenty of blood orange, floral and mineral character that lingers. I tasted it à la volée, with no dosage, rather than as a fully finished wine. 2026 - 2036
