Meursault, Francois et Antoine Jobard 2022

Tasting Notes

The 2022 Meursault Village, a blend of Jobard's lieux-dits, which has been the case for three vintages now, has a classic nose of orchard fruit, walnut and a touch of crushed stone. The palate is very well-balanced with a lime and citrus peel opening, crisp acidity and a little fatness towards the finish. Very fine. Drink 2025-2038.

Mid lemon and lime. The bouquet is not overtly weighty. The hillside vineyards and those below complement each other. There is certainly excellent energy beneath here, a fine thread to freshen the weight of white orchard fruit. Impeccable village Meursault. Drink from 2027-2034.

Cask sample. A step-up from Jobard’s Bourgogne Blanc but definitely cut from the same cloth. Pithy character to the fruit with minerals and a tension which add lots of freshness. Purity of fruit, a crystalline quality here which is not apparent in many 2022 whites.
