Tasting Notes

bright yellow robe; the nose is elderberry, cassis leaf, mineral toned, pear central to it. The palate runs with appealing freedom, is moving into shape, bears apricot in the flavour, and drinks with sympa ease - the light touch handling has paid off. There is a fine lead out on the early palate before a slight drift on the close. It’s trim Condrieu, safe, drinks nicely now. This had a 500-litre jar involved in its handling, but Julien preferred the 500-litre oak to it. 13°. Bottled July 2021. To 2026 Oct 2021 ***(*)
